While the artwork by Hajime Isayama and his team remained top-notch, the narrative choices and themes were so poorly received that even the most devoted Attack on Titan fans agreed that it weakened the entire story.

Sasha Braus Was Meant To Be Dead Much Earlier In Attack on Titan

Sasha Braus has been one of the beloved Attack on Titan characters since her debut in season 1. When the Survey Corps infiltrated Marley, known for its utilization of Titans as weapons in the wars, Sasha and her comrades were there to gather all the possible intelligence, in order to prevent a war.

But Isayama ended up changing his mind when his editor locked himself in the bathroom and cried upon hearing the news. Instead, Sasha’s death was ultimately postponed and she was killed off much later.

Why Eren Laughed at Sasha’s Death In Attack on Titan

The death of Sasha had a major impact on some of the important characters of the story, including Mikasa, Armin, and others, however, what actually shocked the whole fandom of Attack on Titan was Eren Yeager’s reaction because he started laughing.

Eren’s shocking response to Sasha’s death is a very complex matter. It is possible that Eren was laughing as a means of hiding his own pain and grief.

Sasha was one of Eren’s closest friends in the story and that is her death must have been a huge shock to him. By laughing, he may have been masking his true emotions.

Eren’s laughter may have also been a reflection of his own deeds because he was involved in the events leading to Sasha’s death.
