During the interview, Choi was asked about which boss was the most difficult to design in the game, and he was also asked to give a reason for the same.

To this Choi replied that, when it came down to the design elements, the team faced most difficulties while designing the King of Puppets. This is because although he is a single boss in the game, the team had to work hard to build his look, to work on his combat experience, his moods, and his overall environment, as all of that had to be distinctive in each of the phases.

Choi also surprisingly reveals that the King of Puppets came at a significant cost, by saying-

Choi also somewhat justified this cost by adding that, according to him, the bosses are very important in the game. Moreover, they are more important when it comes to the category of fan-favorite Soulslike games.

Choi also spoke about the design philosophy of these bosses.

“To make them compelling, we tried to show their various look and combat patterns, which led us to create many bosses with multiple phases.”

He also added that the players find the bosses in the game unique as his development team has a tremendous amount of love for bosses.

While many players are still having fun playing the game, game director Choi last year teased an upcoming DLC for the game. The Lies of P DLC will continue the story from the prequel where Pinocchio travels the city as he tries to become a human again. Moreover, the DLC will be the first downloadable content for the game.
