Unfortunately, the album might be a bit bittersweet for her fans as there is a strong chance that This Is Me…Now is going to be Jennifer Lopez’s final album. According to the singer herself, she has reached peak satisfaction with the ninth studio album and is not sure if she will be making a tenth one. Does this mean that Jennifer Lopez is finally shifting to the film industry entirely?

Talking to Entertainment Tonight about This Is Me…Now, Jennifer Lopez dropped a huge bomb on her fanbase. She started off by saying how she and her team always try to do something special for the fans, including working on collector’s items that they can hold dear forever. She then revealed how she’s so “fulfilled” by the work she has done for her upcoming album that she’s okay with it being her last.

“We did a bunch of different album covers. We try to do stuff that’s very special for the fans and do collector’s items and things like that that they can have forever and ever. The truth is I don’t even know if I’ll ever make another album after this. It’s such the kind of quintessential kind of Jennifer Lopez J.Lo project and I really feel very fulfilled, so they really will be collector’s items at a certain point.”

J.Lo continued,

“I feel like it’s the end of a kind of an era for me and the beginning of a new one, so I would never say never, but right now I feel like I really put my heart and soul into this and I’m very excited and it definitely took a lot out of me.”

The very first single of the album was released last month and is titled, “Can’t Get Enough.” And even though her expansive fanbase “can’t get enough’ of the singer’s music, is it time to say goodbye to singer-Lopez? We hope not!

Lopez is a dancer, a singer, and an actress, all combined in one which makes her one of the most influential personalities the entertainment industry has to offer.

Talking about her filmography, the Ain’t Your Mama singer has starred in more than thirty films already, including Hustlers, Marry Me, Selena, and so on. Recently, she played the lead role in Netflix’s The Mother, which even though received mixed reviews from the critics, ended up becoming one of Netflix’s top-ten most-watched English movies in the streaming platform’s history, as of February 04. Clearly, J-Lo’s hold on the audience remains strong even after all these years.

Since Lopez is well-versed in the film industry, it would make sense for her to jump ship and make acting her first priority, instead of music. If that becomes the case, it will certainly help the actress that her husband, Ben Affleck, and his best friend, Matt Damon, launched a production company not too long ago. The venture, ‘Artists Equity’ has already produced Air and has more films on the way.

It is interesting to note that one of Artists Equity’s upcoming films, Unstoppable, has already cast Lopez for the role of Judy Robles. So, if Lopez actually ends up pursuing acting full-time, Damon and Affleck’s production company is going to be really handy for the icon.
