Recently while on What Now? with Trevor Noah, Bloom stated how Perry being a world-famous pop star was initially difficult for him to handle. But in his recent interview with Jay Shetty, the Pirates of the Caribbean star remarked that letting go of things, both good and bad, has proved to be the bane and boon of his relationship with Perry.
“I think I’m constantly learning to let go. Because anything that I try to hold onto, whether it’s good or bad, doesn’t serve me.”
Adding on that letting go has been helpful to both of them, Bloom remarked how and why it is the really hard part of their relationship.
“Not in the relationship, and it doesn’t really serve either of us. And that’s really hard. To keep letting go and to keep letting her go. You know, the idea of, because I think when you are in a deeply loving, committed relationship, you want to control or own or have and, you know, even just letting go of ideas, how things should be, or the idea of what intimacy or intimate moments are to you versus them, or whatever it may be.”

Previously Bloom had remarked to Trevor Noah that Perry demands him to grow, just as he does for her. Even in an interview with ET, the actor remarked how both of them are cheerleaders for each other and hold the other accountable when and where needed.
Expressing similar sentiments, Bloom remarked to Jay Shetty how his relationship with the Roar hitmaker has been an immense opportunity for him to grow into a better version of himself.
“I seize the opportunity every day to grow and as you see from the show, I’ll never choose the easy path. You know, like, it’s just not who I am. In some ways, my relationship is the greatest opportunity for my continual growth. I know we both see it that way. So that’s how we grow. And we do. She’ll hold me accountable and I’ll do the same.”
Being engaged since 2019 and having a daughter, it is remarkable how the two stars manage their relationship.
