One of the key reasons that the fans love the mutant series is that each time, the writers would continue to head into a new direction to keep things interesting among the fans. Moreover, the franchise has been there for so long that every fan’s favorite character will have their own story.

Naturally, X-Men became a global phenomenon, and while the world was leaning towards superheroes, fans leaned towards them as Marvel featured mutants, who were fighting for their place in society. The franchise showcased a gripping story and amazing fight scenes, but a struggle for equality was always showcased, and the OG fans weren’t having it when some prejudiced individuals disrespected their favorite series.

X-Men Fans Silenced Bigots For Shrouding The Upcoming Series in Controversy

X-Men was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby during a very chaotic era in the United States of America because, in the 60s, the country was undergoing a massive social change. The changes were an effect of a number of factors like the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, the threat of the Soviet Union, and the Nuclear Armageddon. The mutants were showcased as underdogs who were segregated from the main society.

Eventually, the franchise was showcased as something that stood for all the marginalized people around the world. Even in 2017 via MSN, the Late Stan Lee said that this is about the fictional universe,

“has always been and always will be a reflection of the world right outside of our window… the stories of heroism… have room for everyone, regardless of their race, gender, religion or colour of their skin. The only things we don’t have room for are hatred, intolerance and bigotry.”

However, the OG fans of the franchise quickly came forward and silenced the keyboard warriors on X.
