“Seeing the way men reacted to the film versus women was very interesting. It made me laugh that men felt very strongly about how they were being depicted badly.”
Despite these criticisms for the film which were similar to what Greta Gerwig faced with her blockbuster Barbie, Dynevor believed that Fair Play was a courageous project that did not shy away from shedding light on harsh societal truths.

It is safe to say that acting is in Phoebe Dynevor’s blood. Despite being very young with a bright future ahead of her, Dynevor harbored thoughts of taking a hiatus from the limelight in 2019 owing to a possible burnout.
As fate would have it, the Fair Play actor never got to take this break thanks to the audition for Daphne Bridgerton that fell into her lap in timely fashion. Following her success with the show, Dynevor confessed that quitting had never been an option for her. Revealing her ultimate dream, the star spoke to Variety and said,
“In hindsight, I know that hiatus from acting probably wouldn’t have lasted very long. It’s my only thing, really. There is no Plan B.”
