To further add to the excitement, he was voiced by Sir Anthony Hopkins. It seems that not only the viewers but even the director was impressed with the character. While Snyder was not very confident about how pivotal he was in the overall story, he finds Jimmy to be a pretty badass character.

“I don’t know that he is, because he was written as literally a quest knight that had a religious crisis during the Crusades. (Zack Snyder talking about how pivotal Jimmy is to the story)

That was basically the thesis with him. And so he’s a badass, in the end, he’s a reluctant gunfighter. It’s just getting him to pick up the guns again that’s the challenge … But we need him to do it. What is it going to take for him to do it? It’ll be interesting for you when you see the director’s cuts because there’s so much more Jimmy. It’s probably another half an hour of Jimmy in the director’s cuts, which will be fun for you probably if you’re a fan of his.”

While details of the director’s cut are still mostly under wraps, fans will be happy to learn the extended role of Jimmy. Despite a pleasant presence in the movie, his character was almost cut off in the midst of the movie before returning towards the end. Thus, his story in between these events might be worth a watch.
