While Solo Leveling is mostly being widely enjoyed by fans, its most recent update, episode 7.5, didn’t bring in the best of reviews. In fact, if anything, out of all the eight episodes released of the web novel turned manhwa-based anime series, this very episode has earned the reputation of becoming the worst-rated episode on Crunchyroll.

Despite this, the English dubbing voice actor for the series’ lead protagonist Sung Jinwoo is anything but disheartened about this news. Instead, he is more than just hopeful about the further episodes of the anime, and even teased about just how much crazier everything is about to get as the series continues to progress!

Sung Jinwoo Voice Actor is Still Hopeful for Upcoming Solo Leveling Episodes

It won’t be a surprise to the fans to know that Solo Leveling has actually been rated as one of the most popular television series in the whole wide world as of this writing, according to IMDb’s Most Popular TV Shows Chart. Despite that, the series’ most recent episode 7.5 hasn’t been received all too heartily by fans.

The episode, which has been described as “Jinwoo recaps the events of the story so far, from his humble beginnings as the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind to his newfound power and renewed purpose,” currently holds the moniker of being the worst-rated episode on Crunchyroll, with 62,000 dislikes on 29,000 likes as of this writing (via Dexerto).

Nonetheless, the English dub voice actor for Jinwoo (the series’ lead protagonist), Aleks Le is still as optimistic about the upcoming episodes of the show as ever. Recently, he sat with CBR to discuss the anime and its upcoming episodes. It was during this that Le let out his excitement for the future episodes of the saga as he said:

“I will say this – keep your heads on. It’s about to get real crazy.”

Echoing his thoughts, voice director Caitlin Glass, who was also present in the interview, continued to express how “it’s going to be really exciting” for all the people who only got affiliated with the Solo Leveling world through the anime, and aren’t all too familiar with the manhwa. Explaining the reason why, she said:

“Because, already you’re probably blown away going, ‘I can’t believe they just did that! That just happened and someone had to animate that!'”

Well, as long as the voice actor believes that, we’re good with keeping up our hopes!

While the anime is already keeping the viewers on the edge of their seats, it seems that things are about to get crazier in the ongoing anime. Or, like how voice director Caitlin Glass describes it, the future of the anime has some pretty “bombastic” stuff waiting for fans. As Glass said:

“Some things are coming that will make you throw your popcorn and drop your drinks – and then it’s not done! It’s not like ‘Crazy thing and scene! Wait until next week!’ It’s a lot and bombastic is a great word for it. It keeps going and keeps pulling you in and wanting more.”

So far, all these updates from the very people who are working on the anime are making it all sound like the most recent episode was just a minor shortcoming, and the future of the anime series is going to get much, much brighter, action-packed, and bombastic!
