Finn Wolfhard On Stranger Things Cast Members Coming Together In Season 5

During his interview via The Kelly Clarkson Show, actor Finn Wolfhard shared the lowdown on Stranger Things Season 5. He notably revealed it will bring back the cast members together for one final grand slam.

It’s the fifth and final season so it’s a special thing that we’re just trying to make it as best as we can, have the proper send-off. It’s obviously like every season gets bigger and bigger, but also, at the same time, it’s kind of like an isolated story where all the cast is not split up, we’re all kind of together. It’s just been great. We’ve been shooting now.”

He echoed the same sentiment in his conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. Wolfhard admitted it was disappointing not to see all of the ensemble cast members while filming the past season, but this changes now with the fifth installment.

Not being around everyone all the time was definitely a bummer about filming 4, but 5 is the opposite. We’re all together all the time, and a bunch of us live around the corner and across the street from each other in real life. So the cast is really seeing each other a lot, and we’re in a lot of the same scenes, which has been really great.”

Finally, he teased fans that the final hurrah of the series would bring back everything the fans loved in Season 1. They can also expect more significant scenes from Mike as the leader of the group.

This last season is sort of a crossroads, and so we’re getting back into a lot of the dynamics of season one, which is really fun. There [are] some ‘leader Mike’ moments, and it’s a very grand season, obviously.”

The filming for Season 5 was initially scheduled for May 2023, but due to the Hollywood strikes, it has been pushed back to January this year.

Fans have discovered many secrets about the Upside Down in Season 4, though there are still lingering queries that will be resolved in the upcoming installment. As per series creator Ross Duffer via Tudum by Netflix:

The last remaining questions that are answered in that document, we’ve punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in Season 5, and that’s really going to affect what Season 5 is about.”

It’s going to be another epic adventure for the residents of Hawkins, and fans have a lot to look forward to after Wolfhard’s positive news. No official release date has been announced, though it is expected to return on Netflix in 2025.
