Triple H said that the Story Would Continue No Matter What
Irrespective of what happens at WrestleMania 40, earlier Triple H said that the story would continue. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show ahead of WWE WrestleMania 40, Triple H was asked about his post-Night 2 feeling. He replied:
“I’m hoping it’s, ‘Holy shit, that was the greatest thing ever.’ I want people to leave here and think, you know, people are gonna nit-pick everything, right. They’re gonna have their moments that they love, they’re gonna have their moments that they didn’t like, whatever. They’re all gonna analyze the booking and the finishes, everything that we do, they’re gonna over-analyze all of it. Even Roman and Rock, people always go, ‘We should have got that, they should have done this.’ It doesn’t end.”
He also assured fans that despite anything, it is not the end, and WWE would bring the best for everyone between WrestleMania 40 and 41.
“The story continues, so we’re gonna pick it up wherever we are, and we’re gonna move forward. I promise you this, between WrestleMania 40 and WrestleMania 41, we’re gonna come on with the best thing ever to blow your mind and make you go, ‘Oh my god, this is better than 40 was.’”
In the other matches from Night 2, Bayley defeated Iyo Sky, LA Knight defeated AJ Styles with a BFT after countering Phenomena Forearm, Logan Paul won against Randy Orton to retain his title, and The Pride defeated The Final Testament.
WrestleMania 41 is rumored to take place in Minnesota, and there is no date yet confirmed for next year’s event.
