Unfortunately, unlike most of his roles, the Invincible actor had a tough time with his role in MCU. The actor appeared as the fire demon, Surtur, in Taika Waititi’s much-loved threequel, Thor: Ragnarok. However, despite his riveting performance as the fire demon who destroyed everything, Brown had a short-lived role.

That was a voiceover character pretty much. So, I mean, I would happily do it again, because it would be a mo-cap, and that would be fun, and a voice, but they didn’t sign me up for any multi-picture deal or anything like that.”

Expressing his sadness over how he could have been an integral part of Marvel Studios, the Invincible actor stated that he isn’t very excited to return. Having his own condition for returning, Brown mentioned that he won’t lose his sleep if he doesn’t get the gig.

If they call me up, and we can reach a deal, then I’ll do it. If they call me up, and they don’t want to pay me, then I won’t. I mean, it’s not that big a deal. It’s not a real character to me anyway, Surtur.”

Eventually, the actor was never given the opportunity to return as Surtur when they made Thor: Love & Thunder
