Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson shared one of the most controversial feuds in the recent past of Hollywood. Their much-publicized feud originated from the Fast & Furious franchise where the two got into a conflict due to some reasons. Recently as the fans were shocked after The Rock made a surprise return in Fast X, it must be noted that Diesel was trying to convince Johnson for a long time before he was convinced to return.

Dwayne Johnson was last seen in the Fast & Furious franchise portraying the role of Luke Hobbs in the 2019 spin-off Hobbs & Shaw. As per the movies in the main franchise, he was absent from the franchise after 2017’s The Fate of the Furious before reprising his role in Fast X. It was quite a surprise for the fans as The Rock had repeatedly claimed that he would never return.

The clash between the two stars started when Dwayne Johnson took to his Instagram to speak out on his very unpleasant Fast & Furious experience. While the Rampage star praised his female co-stars he took no mercy to call out some of his male co-stars. He even used the term “Candy a*ses” which was reportedly directed towards Vin Diesel.

But Vin Diesel showed a different side in an interview with USA Today where he called Dwayne Johnson a very close one and stated that the San Andreas actor appreciates his work in the franchise. Continuing to praise Johnson, the xXx star added that he will always be there with The Rock as a Big Brother and is proud of him. He didn’t stop there and even addressed him and Dwayne Johnson as alphas.

“It’s not always easy being an alpha. And it’s two alphas. Being an alpha is sometimes a pain in the bu*t.”

On November 2021, Diesel again posted that the worldwide audience eagerly respects the former WWE wrestler to return to the franchise. On top of it, he also added that Johnson is known as ‘Uncle Dwayne’ in his house and also had to keep the promise he made to the late Paul Walker to make the finale project the best one.

That move only backfired as the Black Adam star publicly stated that the Dominic Toretto star shouldn’t have used his children and the death of Paul Walker to try to persuade him. After that, Dwayne Johnson also stated that he was down with the franchise and vowed to never return to it. But after so much, the fans were surprised when finally Fast X featured the Jumanji star after such a long drama.

The fans were totally surprised when the post-credits scene of Fast X revealed Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs being called by Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes who warns him to stay prepared as he is coming for him.

The audiences didn’t expect the star to return after such a long-publicized drama regarding differences over various issues. But his return impacts the franchise largely as this may lead us to the comeback of The Rock in the reportedly final movies of the franchise. It might also lead to a sequel of Hobbs & Shaw.

Even though some fans might argue that the Black Adam failure led Dwayne Johnson to get back into Vin Diesel’s franchise, the hardcore fans of the franchise would be happy to spot the duo together once again. It was reported that the stars didn’t share any scene in the eighth movie of the franchise which was the last main movie in the franchise featuring him.
