Following his appearance in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman and Justice League, Jason Momoa starred in his solo feature as the Atlantean superhero, Aquaman. The 2018 movie starring the 44-year-old American actor has been the only movie under DC Extended Universe to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office. While the upcoming Aquaman sequel would be the last DCEU film following James Gunn’s takeover, fans are taking offense at why the studio has yet not released its trailer.

As fans look forward to the last DCEU film, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, starring Jason Momoa, they have once again shared their outrage on social media for not releasing a trailer and even a teaser for the upcoming film. The first look at Momoa’s Aquaman was reportedly revealed via a leaked toy.

However, the movie is just months away from its release, and the studio has yet to reveal any official poster, trailer, or teaser. However, some reports have also stated that the trailer might be released two months before the theatrical release of the movie.

Fans Frustrated With Delay in Aquaman 2’s Trailer Release

As Jason Momoa’s Aquaman 2’s release nears, fans have taken to Twitter to share their disappointment with the studio. Talking about the delay, one fan stated that the movie is only “114 days” away from its release, and they have no “trailer, poster, or even teaser” of the sequel.

Others also stated how no one is talking about the movie despite it being the sequel to the highest-grossing DCEU film. Following Zachary Levi’s Shazam 2’s box office failure, it was claimed that there was a noticeable lack of marketing from the studio before its release, and the same is being claimed for the Aqauman sequel too.

“Maybe Warner Bros is experimenting by not promoting/advertising about the movie?” one user stated on the social media platform. While some stated that the studio could start its promotions in September, others also claimed that the film could see another delay in its theatrical release, and that could be the reason the studio has not released the trailer yet.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is set to release on December 20, 2023.
