August Alsina and Jada Pinkett Smith’s entanglement has been one of the most popular celebrity gossip as it involved a triangle of relationships which includes Will Smith. But Alsina and Pinkett Smith’s relationship had nothing much to do with Will Smith as they were separated since 2016. Speaking with THE SHADE ROOM, Alsina revealed how he feels about Pinkett Smith.
“Jayda is a friend everyone should have. She is one of the main reasons of my restoration in people and in humans and in women. She, she has played such a huge role in my life and my recovery in my willingness to do and be more and better of man and human for other people on this earth. And also not just other people be better and more kind to myself she is somebody that I believe should or could and would be the greatest part of someone’s life in friendship.”
The 31-year-old further revealed that he is fine with the internet narratives and trolls that were circulating, “it’s that’s fine too,” he said. The singer also revealed that he has a good relationship with the entire Smith family.

Pinkett Smith was candid while speaking of her relationship in public. Earlier, the actor revealed that she sat with her husband to discuss her relationship with Alsina in July 2020. “Four and a half years ago … I started a friendship with August and we actually became really, really good friends,” she said on an episode of Red Table Talk (via People).
“And it all started with him just needing some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state. We found all those different resources to help pull him through … you and I were going through a very difficult time.”
However, the duo “decided that we were going to separate for a period of time.” But Pinkett Smith revealed that the online buzz of Will Smith’s permission to be with Alsina was not true stating that she does not need anyone’s permission to get on with her life choices.
