They have become two prominent figures in the media because of this, especially after their very public encounter with Chris Rock at the Oscars and the talk show host revealing that she and Smith had been separated for seven years.
Unfortunately, it is quite a common occurrence for celebrities as well-known and successful as these two are, to be subjected to some seriously dangerous crimes. Recently, Pinkett Smith became a victim, having her house broken into by two people intent on robbing her Los Angeles home.
Jada Pinkett Smith Protected Herself
Jada Pinkett Smith’s Los Angeles home was recently broken into by two hooded figures. The pair entered the premises through a balcony and were under the impression that no one was at home. Unfortunately for them, the talk show host was at home. According to TMZ, a source revealed that the police are unaware of why her home was broken into, with a string of robberies taking place across Hollywood.
Stars like Keanu Reeves, Lee Byung-hun, Lena Waithe, Paris Jackson, and Abigail Ratchford, are the most recent victims of this. According to this source, Pinkett Smith also seems to have defended herself quite well against the intruders. It was revealed that the talk show host ended up scaring the robbers enough for them to flee the scene.
Was Will Smith At The Scene?
It was also reported that the police are not sure if Jada Pinkett Smith was alone at home or if she had someone with her. Regardless, it is important to note that the actress previously mentioned she was eventually going to move back in with Will Smith. It is safe to say that this would provide the separated pair incentive to rush this process.
“All the people who don’t understand and got something to say are just going to have to fall in line,” she said. “The truth of the matter is, I’m not leaving Will’s side, and he’s not going to leave mine. We’ve been on a powerful quest. And I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”
Pinkett Smith also went on to talk about how she does not think that she and Smith will ever part ways with each other, (via The Hollywood Reporter). Elaborating on this, she mentioned that though they have tried to step away from each other, they simply don’t think that they can. This does not seem to be a sorrowful thing for her, as the talk show host added that despite this, she is the happiest she has ever been in her life.
