Apparently, the Netflix original series that’s occupying the top of the list is the conspiracy thriller – The Night Agent. Becoming the most popular show on Netflix, according to data released by the streamer, the show even toppled Arnold Schwarzenegger’s FUBAR.

Jenna Ortega and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Show Faced Competition
The Disney actress Jenna Ortega turned into a pop culture icon after appearing in the gothic thriller Wednesday on Netflix. Acquiring a major fanbase, the actress became an overnight global icon, right after the release of her show. The role not only solidified her talents but also defined her career as an actress.
Further, just like Netflix offered a platform to Jenna Ortega, the streamer also launched Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s hit show FUBAR. However, despite their incredible reviews and ratings, alongside the actor’s prolific performance, both the shows failed to achieve the top position on the list of Netflix’s most popular shows of 2023 between January and June. According to reports, there’s another popular show that toppled Ortega and Schwarzenegger’s position.

The Night Agent Became the Most Popular Show on Netflix
Well, it’s none other than the conspiracy thriller The Night Agent, that topped Wednesday and FUBAR to become the most popular show on Netflix. According to recently released data by the streaming service’s “What We Watched” engagement report, Gabriel Basso’s action thriller based on Matthew Quirk’s novel by the same name took the platform by storm.
According to the report in the form of a downloadable Excel sheet, it features more than 18,000 titles which represents “99% of all viewing” on its platform that boasts around 247M subscribers. That particular report suggested that The Night Agent released in March 2023 witnessed 812,100,000 hours of viewership.
Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday appeared in fourth position with 507,700,000 hours of viewership. While Arnold Schwarzenegger’s FUBAR appeared in the 10th position just narrowly making its way on the top 10 list of most viewed shows on the streaming platform with 266,200,000 hours of viewership.
