Jensen Ackles has been known around the world for portraying the iconic role of Dean Winchester in the American drama series Supernatural. With the series gaining global recognition, the Chevy Impala that the Winchester brothers drive has also become a famous icon.
Having a great sense of humor, Ackles admitted to having indirectly stolen the car alongside some clothes from the wardrobe department. Stating about how happy he was on his return, Jensen Ackles joked that several clothes also returned alongside the Chevy Impala but he doesn’t know how!
When Jensen Ackles ‘Borrowed’ The Chevy Impala!
Starring in Supernatural for 15 seasons, the duo of Dean and Sam Winchester became famous for dealing with the supernatural. Driving in their Chevy Impala, the car also became an iconic symbol for Dean Winchester who loved cruising around in that car.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jensen Ackles talked about how Supernatural had to end. The actor revealed that he didn’t part the set with some ‘borrowed’ items from the wardrobe department and a certain car that he had grown heavily attached to. When talking about what he took from the sets of Supernatural as memorabilia, here’s what Jensen Ackles had to say in return.
“A few things from the wardrobe department when episode 20 of season 15 came to an end that went missing. I didn’t know why they just went missing and somehow managed to turn up when I was required to show back up on camera.”
Another person added,
“Jensen brought a car full of things including a car” while Ackles continued, “Listen. Sometimes, you just don’t know and putting those boots back on and slipping that jacket back on was…”
Although Supernatural ended after a 15-season run, Jensen Ackles and his co-star Jared Padalecki talked about how there are some stories and ideas that have yet to appear on screen!
Supernatural Could Return For a 16th Season
In another interview, Jensen Ackles and his co-star Jared Padalecki (who portrays his on-screen brother Sam Winchester) talked about how there could be another season of Supernatural. Talking about theories and ideas to Collider, Padalecki stated that there are some ideas yet left to uncover!
“I have some ideas, and I hope that now that the writers are back, and the actors are back, that we all get together.” Padalecki shared.
“Stay tuned on that. There are some conversations regarding that conversation that are being had.”Ackles replied.
With the series having a high rating of 8.4/10 on IMDB and a whopping 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, Supernatural ended with its 15th Season getting released in 2020. Although there are rumors of a 16th Season in the works, nothing can be confirmed as of yet. The series is available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.
