However, it looks like Jeremy Renner is all set to make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hawkeye. The news has relieved Marvel fans, as they wondered that the last original Avenger would have had the most undeserving retirement from the franchise. However, the Arrival actor is far from retiring from his iconic role, and it’s only a matter of time before he makes his grand return.

It has been a year since Jeremy Renner met with the fatal snowplow accident. However, the Tag actor has shown massive signs of recovery, as he is already back on his feet and is able to walk a year later.

The physical therapy has done wonders, as during an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Renner gave an update to his fans on his expected return.

“I’m always game. I’m gonna be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready. All those guys come to my bedside, and they’ve been with me all along through this recovery, so… if they want me, they could have me. It would be something.”

The news gave a sigh of relief to the MCU fans, however, Jeremy Renner’s life has changed after getting crushed by the 7-ton snowplow machine, as he shares how he has to set goals to return to his former self.

Jeremy Renner Shares How The Fatal Accident Has Altered His Life

In the same interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Rennervations actor shared that he is setting goals in his everyday life so that he can get stronger and is doing “90 percent of all the things” that will help him get back to his former self in about six months, and he is determined to do “whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger.”

“[I’m doing] probably 90 percent of all the things I needed to be doing… I think another six months will be hopefully running [more]… I got to set goals for myself. I’ll do whatever I can… whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger.”

The 53-year-old actor added that his recovery process is like a “one-way street,” as the rest of his life will be about focusing on his “health and wellness.” However, Renner is grateful for the second chance in his life as he believes there’s always something that he looks forward to.

“It’s a one-way street, this recovery. The rest of my life is about health and wellness. Recovery will be part of the rest of my life, so I look forward to it, man. There’s always something to do to get better, be stronger, be happier, be healthier, and that’s what I look forward to.”

Nevertheless, the accident has left a scar in the memory of Renner, as he shared, “It’s hard for me to look back, to be honest with you. It’s hard for me to look forward.” The primary reason is always having an obstacle in life, and acknowledged that the process is “harrowing,” and he is “very grateful” for his life.
