Marvel and their parent Studio Disney fired Jonathan Majors immediately after the actor was found guilty of assault and harassment. Majors’ ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari filed a lawsuit against the actor accusing him of domestic violence which led to the arrest of the actor. Marvel Studios has since chosen not to comment on it until now. Majors has been an integral part of MCU’s Multiverse Saga appearing in both seasons of Loki and the 2023 movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor was also set to appear in the upcoming 2026 slate Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

As Majors was fired from the studio, fans are curious about the future of the MCU villain, or who will replace the Emmy-nominated actor in the upcoming movie and other potential projects. A fan enquired They Cloned Tyrone and Detroit star John Boyega if he is willing to replace Majors, “tell anthony mackie to connect you w whoever in charage of recasting kang,” the fan wrote on X. John Boyega Has A History With Disney

Boyega has been vocal about his experience at Disney while working in the Star Wars franchise. Boyega who played Finn in the franchise, slammed Disney for handling people of color in the franchise. “It’s so difficult to maneuver,” the actor told British GQ. “You get yourself involved in projects and you’re not necessarily going to like everything. [But] what I would say to Disney is do not bring out a Black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side,” he continued.

“Like, you guys knew what to do with Daisy Ridley, you knew what to do with Adam Driver. You knew what to do with these other people, but when it came to Kelly Marie Tran, when it came to John Boyega, you know f*ck all. So what do you want me to say? What they want you to say is, ‘I enjoyed being a part of it. It was a great experience…’ Nah, nah, nah. I’ll take that deal when it’s a great experience. They gave all the nuance to Adam Driver, all the nuance to Daisy Ridley. Let’s be honest. Daisy knows this. Adam knows this. Everybody knows. I’m not exposing anything.”

The 31-year-old went on to add that he was the only cast member who had a “unique experience of that franchise based on their race.” The process of it was frustrating for the actor, “It makes you angry with a process like that. It makes you much more militant; it changes you.” So, it is highly unlikely that Boyega will return to the studio, at least, his initial reaction to Kang was proof of that.
