Kagurabachi is ranked as the fifth hottest manga on the Manga Plus website, despite its recent status change. After just a few weeks of publication, Kagurabachi has captured the attention of readers, demonstrating why the manga is deserving of recognition as one of the greatest in the Shonen genre.
The only shows that rank higher than it is Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and One Piece. It is more popular than series like Dragon Ball Super and My Hero Academia. Even before the first chapter of the manga series by Takeru Hokazono officially debuted with the magazine, it was shattering records, and it has only gotten bigger since then.
It also deviates from the conventional shonen tropes, which is why it is becoming so popular so quickly. Chihiro Rokuhira, the protagonist of the series has done what other Shonen protagonists could not do and that’s what makes him different and also successful in the manga world by a long shot and with just 10 chapters released.
Chihiro Rokuhira is Different From Other Shonen Protagonists
In the manga series Kagurabachi, Chihiro Rokuhira is the main character. Chihiro is the son of renowned swordsmith Kunishige Rokuhira, who is well-known for his distinctive style of making special katanas.
Following his father’s passing, Chihiro makes it his mission to find the Hishaku, a gang of sorcerers who killed his father and recover the enchanted blades that were taken from him. In the wide world of shonen, Chihiro Rokuhira has emerged as someone very different from characters like Naruto or Luffy. In contrast to them, he pursues retribution and kills people without hesitation.
His unwavering determination to exact revenge on those responsible for his father’s death and the theft of the enchanted blades is the only thing that motivates him. This is presumably one of the main explanations for why a lot of fans think the manga will blow up in the shonen genre to be the next big thing.
Kagurabachi Deserves to be One of the Best Shonen Manga
Thanks to its protagonist, Chihiro Rokuhira, Kagurabachi manga has accomplished a remarkable feat. Though it’s not the first shonen manga to break from clichés and come out with something original, there’s something about the plot and protagonist Chihiro that makes you think about each other and see things from a whole different angle. Very few shonen protagonists share the same traits as Kagurabachi manga’s Chihiro Rokuhira.
Even though there have only been 10 chapters published in the series to date, everyone who is even slightly familiar with it proclaims it to be the best of all time. It makes sense that the series has such a large fan base, and readers are eager to read more.
