Things haven’t been going too well for Kevin Costner. The star of the beloved TV series, Yellowstone, has been in the headlines recently and not for good reasons. Apparently, the actor got caught up in a drama with Yellowstone’s co-creator and writer, Taylor Sheridan. Reports stated that thanks to the issues between him and Kevin Costner, the series will take its leave sooner than expected.
It is now being reported that Kevin Costner will not return to the show after the fifth season as he supposedly bids goodbye to John Dutton III. Amidst all of this, the actor is facing troubles in his personal life as well, as his marriage of eighteen years has come to a stop. Well, it looks like Kevin Costner could seriously use a piece of good news, right about now!
Kevin Costner Leaving Yellowstone for Good
Sources have reported that Kevin Costner will not be returning to Yellowstone after the fifth season. This piece of news might not be too surprising if you have been following the supposed drama between him and Taylor Sheridan. Apparently, Costner and Sheridan had a falling out owing to scheduling conflicts and Costner’s filming commitments.
Speaking up about the allegations made against Costner, his attorney Marty Singer told ET,
“The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season 5 of Yellowstone is an absolute lie. It’s ridiculous — and anyone suggesting it shouldn’t be believed for one second. As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success.”
Other sources sais that there have been no updates about when the rest of the cast will return to finish shooting the remainder of the fifth season. Costner, Sheridan, and the other cast members didn’t even show up at the PaleyFest in Los Angeles despite being a part of it. All of this has undoubtedly left Yellowstone fans confused and heartbroken.
As of now, neither Costner nor the show’s representative has made any official comments about the ordeal that is Costner’s exit.
Kevin Costner’s Wife Files for Divorce
Costner and Christine Baumgartner dated for a total of six years before they finally tied the knot in 2004 at the actor’s Colorado ranch. During their eighteen years of marriage, Baumgartner gave birth to three children, Cayden, Hayes, and Grace. Costner’s representative told PEOPLE,
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
Just a few months back, Costner was heard gushing over his wife and how she made a house, their home. He stated that everything was “prettier” and “warmer because of her” and added, “There’s these little things that she does and I think it’s the power of love, but she makes her home that way.”
This was Costner’s second marriage as he was previously married to Cindy Silva for sixteen years before the two went their separate ways in 1994. We wish Costner, Baumgartner, and their kids all the strength in the world to deal with this tough situation!
