Kong, the most famous ape in entertainment, is back in action with a new survival platformer game that blends humans with this amazing creature. After the disastrous failure that was Skull Island: Rise of Kong, this character returns with an entirely different game called Kong: Survivor Instinct.
Today’s reveal of this title has many worried that its quality, which doesn’t appear to meet modern standards, could follow the same fate as the previously mentioned game. The fandom is eager for this character to receive the game it truly deserves.
Kong: Survivor Instinct Releases a Trailer That Doesn’t Give Much Hope to Fans
The MonsterVerse, launched by Legendary Entertainment and Warner, has made Kong and Godzilla famous. With several movies in the pipeline where this outstanding character co-stars with the mutated Kaiju from Japan, this immense gorilla is becoming increasingly famous.
As a result, numerous studios are working on different games based on this character, but unfortunately, they are not meeting fan expectations.
Despite the failure that was Skull Island: Rise of Kong, the company that owns this character is still trying and has just announced a new game based on it.
This game will feature a gameplay style that blends platforming and action, allowing players to control a human, while also seemingly incorporating Kong in some way, shape or form. Kong: Survivor Instinct has just unveiled its first official teaser and gameplay.
Legendary Tries to Restore This Character’s Reputation in Gaming
In the gameplay shown in the trailer, there’s a heavy emphasis on platforming and how the human character must climb to progress to the next stage. Along the way, they will face all kinds of enemies, both monsters and humans, who will attack without warning.
The fact that Kong: Survivor Instinct sets its levels in the middle of a city that has been completely destroyed by a Kaiju attack has completely destroyed is one of the game’s most notable features.
The final segment of the trailer suggests that the player will eventually employ Kong to combat the massive dangers that have ravaged the city.
Among the weapons the human protagonist can use are rifles and pistols, as well as melee weapons. Clearly, the game’s objective is to survive without succumbing to a monster’s crushing or attack.
This title is scheduled to be released sometime this year for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. So far, no official release date has been confirmed; Legendary only put the message “Fall 2024” in the trailer that was presented.
Fans, in general, don’t have much hope for this game, just as with the previous one. The comments under the trailer are filled with dissatisfaction. The quality doesn’t promise much, and the trailer doesn’t offer anything new concerning this character’s universe.
