Competitive games are a realm meant for fair competition. Unfortunately for Call of Duty: Warzone fans, the game’s long since been tainted by the persistence of cheaters, as reported in a tweet highlighting the ongoing struggle against these spoilsports.
Despite the release of a new patch aimed at curbing exploits like “Super Strength” and “Super Speed,” it appears that cheat providers remain one step ahead, leaving the Warzone community frustrated and the game experience compromised.
Cheaters Continue to Plague Call of Duty: Warzone
The tweet in question draws attention to a clip sent by a hacker, showcasing how they were still able to use “super strength” and “super speed” hacks mid-match. This comes after a recent patch by the developers was released to fix these cheats and eliminate them from the game.
Call of Duty CHEAT PROVIDERS… are always one step ahead of the anti cheat🤷♂️ clip sent to me by a hacker proving the patch for "Super Strength" and "Super Speed" are very much being used in Warzone after the recent patch. @CallofDuty we need much more effort on your part to fix… pic.twitter.com/VrymC3apyz

For players subjected to these hacks, it turns what should be an immersive and enjoyable gaming session into a one-off match that leaves a sour taste in their mouths.
For a while, the CoD community has demanded that developers take a stronger stance against cheaters to preserve their gaming experience. One user expressed that they felt unheard by management.
Sadly it's so apparent that Call of Duty just doesn't care. The effort to fix even simple things just isn't being put in at all.

Another user, in frustration, jokingly claimed that the developers might be the ones distributing the cheats.
I am convinced some of the devs themselves make the cheats as a side hustle.

One user stated that the video confirmed some suspicions that they had been housing very recently:
That’s timely because yesterday I was playing a game and I could swear that someone was using some kind of “extra health” hack..got the drop on him several times with team mates also firing at him at the same time and he seemed to suffer zero damage at all.
Despite the numerous complaints that have been levied against cheaters in the community, many of the CoD games continue to be plagued by these issues.
The Cheating Problem in Call of Duty Sees No End
The game’s developers are perpetually caught in a game of cat-and-mouse with hackers. When one hack is patched, another immediately arises.
Recently, we saw news of how hackers had allegedly gained access to developer tools to ban other players. There are truly no limits to what hackers can do if this turns out to be true.
The incentive to play the game continues to diminish; what happens when an account that you’ve spent a significant amount of time, energy, and/or money on is banned because you crossed the wrong hacker?
After this issue was brought to light, many players stated that this was tangible proof of how CoD‘s anti-cheat system, Ricochet, has been a major failure. Considering the number of cheating complaints levied against the game daily, maybe it’s time for Activision to look into other ways it can protect its game from malicious attacks.
