While it is true that the hype around the superhero genre has been fading lately, there are still upcoming projects that have fans all giddy with excitement. One of these includes Daredevil: Born Again which will see the return of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock to television.
It was recently confirmed that the characters from the Netflix original, Daredevil, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson were going to join the cast for the Disney+ show, thanks to leaked footage. And now, thanks to yet another set leak, fans get to take a proper look at Jon Bernthal’s return as The Punisher and the live-action debut of another popular character – White Tiger.
Daredevil: Born Again Set Leak
Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again is currently filming and will be released next year. Just like any other hyped-up Marvel project, the upcoming series has also fallen victim to set leaks, including a recent one that shows White Tiger and The Punisher on the sets of Born Again.

In the leaked video, you can see Jon Bernthal’s Punisher hiding and waiting for someone who is soon revealed to be White Tiger. As soon as White Tiger appears on screen, he is shot down by The Punisher, presumably to his death, who later walks away from the crime scene.
While in the comics, the mantle of White Tiger was taken on by both halves of the brother-sister duo, Hector and Ava Ayala, you can clearly see that the version in Daredevil: Born Again is Hector.
However, rumors have been circulating that Wednesday actress, Jenna Ortega, was going to play White Tiger in the upcoming reset of Daredevil. If this is true, it could mean that Ortega will play Ava Ayala who takes on the character after Bernthal’s Punisher shoots her brother dead, as can be seen in the video. As of now, there are no reports on who is behind the White Tiger mask in the leaked video.
Jon Bernthal Was Reportedly Unhappy with Daredevil: Born Again
According to a fan who had the opportunity to meet Bernthal, the actor was the least bit interested in reprising his role as The Punisher as he was not satisfied with the first version of Daredevil: Born Again. However, after a creative reset, the actor spared no time in getting on board the Born Again wagon.
The fan wrote on X,
“[Bernthal] told me that he’s apparently been turning down marvel when it comes to playing punisher over and over again because they hadn’t been getting it right, but the small part he now has in DD Born Again is good in his eyes.”
Luckily for his fans, the creators were able to get Bernthal to say yes to reprising his role. After all, a Daredevil project without The Punisher seems incomplete, doesn’t it?
Daredevil: Born Again will be released on Disney+ in 2025.
