Therefore, Marvel announced their decision to make an 18-episode Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. Despite previously the 2015 show being canceled after three seasons, this time under Disney’s distribution, Charlie Cox’s show is said to have a better future. Even Cox expressed his gratitude for Marvel’s confidence in his upcoming series, during his interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

We know there’s going to be 18 episodes, and that’s kind of mind-blowing to me. So there’s even more content than we were doing before, which at the time, felt like a lot.”

Revealing how his upcoming show will have far more episodes and content than he ever had in a single season at Netflix, Charlie Cox shared his appreciation. Additionally, he also mentioned his idea and almost a tiny demand from Marvel to fill in the episodes.

Charlie Cox Has One Demand Regarding Daredevil: Born Again

During his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Charlie Cox noted how he is grateful to have more episodes for himself and his character. Expressing his gratitude towards Marvel and his fans for showing their unwavering support towards his character, Cox opened up about having an idea of how to fill in the episodes. Claiming that he hopes for Marvel to show a lot more of Matt Murdock’s day job as a lawyer, Cox shared his demand.

What I hope that does is give us longer to really live in the characters and to spend more time in Matt Murdock’s world as a lawyer. And still have all the cool Daredevil superhero stuff, but to really live in his world and ground the show in the day-to-day life of someone who’s a lawyer, I think could be really interesting.”

Indeed, focusing on Matt Murdock’s character and his day job as a lawyer will not only make fans connect with the character more but also help the series stay true to the comic book adaptation. Further, Marvel Studios also has the experience and witnessed success in combining superhero action with legal drama, like that done flawlessly in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Therefore, it seems Charlie Cox’s demand might get fulfilled as he entrusted his complete confidence in Marvel’s ability to produce a winning series that will focus on the true comic book story and show Matt Murdock’s day job as a lawyer. Who can say no to more interesting content ripped from the comics? Although as of now, it’s unconfirmed if Marvel will portray Murdock’s legal work, but if they do, comic book fans will certainly lose their minds.
