“We love diving. We got our diving licenses together. And we, one day, we were on vacation, and he was like, ‘Mil, You got to be up at 8 a.m. We’re going on a dive'”
Millie Bobby Brown further revealed that her beau insisted on going to the same spot to dive, which is when their special moment began to unfold.
“So, we go under, and we’re, like, many meters down, and he gives me, like, a shell, and I, like, turn it over, and it’s a ring.”
As they were unable to speak while keeping their oxygen masks on, Bongiovi put the ring on her finger. However, a little mishap happened when the actress showed him the ring. Her ring fell off, leading it to plummet onto the ocean floor.
“Anyways, he puts the ring on my hand, and as I go to show him, the ring falls off my finger, plummets…It was, like, a cinematic movie…Jake threw himself into the, like, so deep. Like, the diver was like, you can’t do that. Like, your ears, your, literally, your brain will explode. He throws himself, he does a cinematic grab and he saved the ring.”
She added how her fiancé’s actions were “a reflection of who he is” as she added that they will have each other’s back always. However, the story just doesn’t end there as the ring itself has an interesting story.

“And then he was like, ‘You know, I bought you this ring because your mom wouldn’t let me take her ring’…My mom was like ‘Absolutely not Jake, you’re not taking my ring down there. You’ll drop it.'”
Her mother was absolutely right as the ring did fall off underwater. She added,
“So when he was up on the boat, he was like, ‘This is your mom’s ring and I got it from your parents’ and It was very magical.”
The duo have been dating for over two years, who seemingly confirmed their relationship when the Stranger Things star posted a blurry kissing picture with her beau on Instagram. While marriage is in the cards, they are yet to make it official but they have kept on sharing their sweet moments with their fans now and then.
