Ke Huy Quan is an American actor who has been known for several iconic roles throughout his career. Starring in movies like Everything Everywhere All at Once, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and, Loki, Huy Quan has been a well-loved actor.
Well, the actor almost wouldn’t appear in the MCU show if Marvel Studios had gone with its original plan. With a recently revealed concept art showcasing Ke Huy Quan’s character to be a different person entirely, his character of OB would have been actually a variant instead of Morbius!
Ke Huy Quan Wouldn’t Have Been Cast in Loki!
Quan portrayed the iconic character of Ouroboros or OB in the second season of the MCU show Loki. But it wouldn’t have been the case if Marvel Studios had gone with their original plan of Loki Season 2.
Concept Artist Aleksi Briclot revealed via his Instagram, a concept art for the character of OB. As per the artist, the original plan of Marvel was to make the character of OB very eerily similar to another character. Portraying him as a variant of Owen Wilson’s Mobius, the concept art boasted OB with a different hairstyle and a heavy mustache.

Well, the world was indeed blessed with Ke Huy Quan’s portrayal of OB. After Loki Season 2 ended, the actor reunited with his Indiana Jones family and he dearly wishes that he could join the Star Wars franchise in the future.
Ke Huy Quan Wishes He Could Join The Star Wars Franchise
After the end of Loki, Huy Quan revealed in an interview with Collider that he wishes to join the Star Wars franchise. Meeting Kathleen Kennedy (the President of Lucasfilms), Quan stated that he loves the MCU but would love to join the Star Wars family.
“I love the MCU. You know, I was able to connect with my Indiana Jones family during the award season. And, as you know, Kathleen Kennedy was the producer,”
He further continued,
“And she’s the head of Lucasfilm now. I did go up to her and I said, ‘Kathy, I would love to join the Star Wars family.’ That’s another wish list of mine. But honestly, I’ve been very lucky. I’ve been very lucky.”
For his role as Waymond Wang in the 2022 film Everything Everywhere All at Once, the actor was awarded with an Oscar for the Best Supporting Role in a film. His iconic portrayal for the character of OB can be seen in Loki Season 2 which is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
