One of the biggest adversaries from the pre-time skip era of One Piece, Rob Lucci recently made a comeback to the series in the Egghead Island arc. Although he had grown tremendously strong and was eagerly waiting for his chance to finally beat Luffy, the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates emerged to be much stronger than him and defeated him much more easily than before.

But Eiichiro Oda did not want to waste the potential of such a great character so early in the story, which is why he pitted him against the second-strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro. While Zoro initially had a little bit of difficulty in dealing with Lucci, the recent chapter revealed that Zoro used a new attack and ultimately defeated the antagonist.

Lucci’s fate and his involvement in the story right now are uncertain, but the character was truly one of the best-written characters of the series. Despite being a villain, Lucci had a decent fan following indicating his power. Lucci was a unique character and he even had a unique attack that no one has been able to figure out to date.

Rob Lucci’s Secret Attack: Rokuogan

As the seventh power among the CP9, Rokuogan is known to be a hidden technique that only Rob Lucci can utilize. It was initially introduced in the Water 7 arc which introduced the CP9 agents who had a huge impact on the story. Rokuogan was the strongest Rokushiki technique, and Lucci recently used it again in One Piece chapter 1068.

This is the seventh technique, and can only be used by people who have perfected the other six. By focusing all of their physical might into their hands, the user can unleash a huge shockwave that can deal massive damage to anyone in its path and even get past their external protections.

It is implied that Rokuogan is an extremely taxing technique that Lucci only uses in dire circumstances because he is always seen as extremely tired after employing it. The technique is so powerful and unique that even Luffy and Koby have not been able to figure it out.

Luffy and Koby Have Still Not Been Able to Figure Out Rokuogan

Although the Rokushiki technique was considered to be an exclusive martial arts technique that was only limited to the CP9 agent, since the Water 7 arc, many characters in the series have been revealed to use Rokushiki. Be it Sanji, Koby, Tashigi, or Luffy, these characters have slowly mastered the technique.

Among these characters, the strongest users of Rokushiki techniques might be Luffy and Koby. Although Luffy could only enact the Soru technique from the Rokushiki arsenal, Koby after being trained by Monkey D. Garp learned almost every Rokushiki ability, thus making him the strongest Rokushiki user besides the agents.

However, even Koby and Luffy have not been able to figure out the Rokuogan technique and it has become a signature move of Rob Lucci. Though Rob Lucci’s role is uncertain in the One Piece manga right now, the character had a great run, and as the story has entered the final saga, Eiichiro Oda might put an end to the tale of Lucci in the series.
