UNAIDS is a UN organization that aims to lead the fight against the AIDS epidemic and provide support and assistance for those who have already been affected by the virus. Jenna Ortega, who has been an ambassador of the organization for more than 6 years now, has a personal reason for supporting the fight against AIDS.

Ortega allegedly lost her grandfather to the disease and now tries to bring more awareness to the same. At the WE Day event back in 2017, the actress talked about the stigmas surrounding AIDS and urged people to talk more about the disease to make it seem like something normal that can happen to anyone. She said,

Once in an interview with Grumpy Magazine, Jenna Ortega further opened up about why she is so dedicated to UNAIDS. The Jane The Virgin actress talked about her grandfather’s passing and she said,

“I never got the opportunity to meet him. And I don’t want anybody else to have to go through that. So I found about UNAIDS and what they’ve done so far is incredible. I wanted to be a part of it.”

She was also inducted as the youth ambassador for the Latino Commission on AIDS back in 2018.

Jenna Ortega was part of the Doritos Dinamita commercial recently which was released earlier this week. The actress revealed that it was a great experience for her. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Ortega talked about how she was honored to be on a Super Bowl commercial at still such a starting phase of her career. She said,

Jenna Ortega further revealed how she felt about the music icon, Usher headlining the Super Bowl halftime show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at the coming weekend. Usher will also be joined by Reba McEntire, Post Malone, Andra Day, and Tiesto at the event.

Super Bowl will be taking place on 11 February later this week when Kansas City Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers.
