A video game like Stellar Blade is never made up of one single feature. Many different factors and elements come together to make a game, and that is exactly the reason why it can attract a larger audience, with each individual gamer wanting to try out a different mechanic than the next one in line.
While the major attraction of the upcoming title is the blade-centric gameplay, the director, Hyung-Tae Kim has revealed in an interview via Pushsquare how they have decided to withhold one of the major features fans might be looking forward the most to.
Stellar Blade To Withhold One Of The Major Features In The Game For Global Gamers
The director disclosed in the interview mentioned above how there would be exclusivity in the title when it comes to Japanese voiceover in Stellar Blade. Mentioning the same, Hyung-Tae Kim said-
“The game offers a total of 22 different languages, and nine voiceover dubbings. The user can freely select from these options. But we do have to tell you that the Japanese voices will only be available in Japan. The Japanese text will be available, but it’s the voiceover that won’t be. This is due to the voice actors, as they’ll only be available in the Japanese region. But Korean will be available”
While the game features many different languages to accommodate different players, the unfortunate news still stands of how the Japanese voiceover will stay region-locked to Japan. There has been a trend in recent times of players opting for Japanese voiceovers which can prove to be a big bummer for them when they get to know it.
The game might not offer a particular voiceover to players out of Japan, but there are still many other features that can redeem Steller Blade. This includes how the title will avoid microtransactions as cosmetics can be unlocked by exploring, and even how the game will feature movesets that have everything to do with blades.
Why Stellar Blade Might Be The Greatest Blade-Centric Game Ever Made
As stated by the director himself, the studio has worked into putting everything one can possibly think of doing with a blade in the game. Many players would think this potentially means gamers can spam their way till the end, but it was also revealed how you would still need to get familiar with combos and skills in order to get rid of the monsters and move forward.
One should also not worry about the game being too focused on the blade aspect, as the title would also include melee options as well as a third-person perspective where the player would be able to utilize weapons that shoot from a range. This allows Stellar Blade to have more diversity in arsenal choice apart from the main weapons available in the game for the player.
