Very few modern games are able to enjoy the level of longevity that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe seems to do so effortlessly. The game got a brand new life breathed into it with its Nintendo Switch launch six years ago in 2017. Since then, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been constantly receiving additional content in the form of paid DLC and a season pass called the Booster Course Pass.

Each wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass has come with its own excitement, especially leading to their individual releases, and Wave 6 is no different. This is because long-term players of the game are constantly on the lookout for fresh new characters and race courses, even if a lot of the time these are remastered versions of tracks and icons from the previous instalments of the series.

The trend of returning Mario Kart characters started in Wave 4, and it will continue in Wave 6 as well.

Just two months after the initial announcement, Nintendo has finally shared the release date for the sixth wave and final wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass on its official website. Acorn Cup

  • GCN DK Mountain

This is set to be a highly dynamic race course, as the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe racers will have to drive through a jungle. From going up and down a dangerous volcano to trying to steer clear of falling boulders, the track will definitely test the nerves of the participants.

  • Tour Rome Avanti

This course comes straight out of Mario Kart Tour and lets players drive past historic and iconic landmarks in the beautiful Eternal City of Rome.

  • Piranha Plant Cove

Of course, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6 will include an underwater track, on which the racers will have to go past sunken ruins to explore underneath the waves.

  • Wii Daisy Circuit

Coming into the game from the original Mario Kart Wii, this track invites participants to race past a seaside resort with a gorgeous sunset and character-themed fountains to accompany it.

Spiny Cup

  • Wii Rainbow Road

This OG Mario Kart track takes participants to space as they drive on an extremely confusing course up in the stars. There are also no guardrails on this track, so it goes without saying that players need to be more careful than usual.

  • SNES Bowser Castle 3

Returning from the iconic Super Mario Kart, this upcoming track will truly bring the heat as players will have to navigate and race amid burning lava, because that is just how the beloved villain Bowser rolls in his castle.

  • 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World

Inspired by Super Mario Galaxy, this Mario Kart 8 Deluxe track is the complete opposite of the previous one, as players will have to drive through icy environments, caves, and frozen bodies of water, all while ensuring that they don’t slip.

  • Tour Madrid Drive

Participants will be transported to Madrid, Spain, in this upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe track, but beware, because random footballs will constantly try to interrupt the races.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe‘s upcoming wave will also include new racers, such as Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Peachette, and Pauline. Moreover, it comes with 16 new Mii costumes, including an unlockable one specifically for Daisy if she gets her Amiibo scanned. Finally, players will be able to race in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe while listening to their favorite tunes through the upcoming music player.
