On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, Marvel decided to shower its fans with utmost love, and to everyone’s surprise, decided to announce the cast and release date of its highly-anticipated Fantastic Four movie. The excitement for the movie among the fans is off the charts, due to a number of reasons.
Marvel announces the cast and release date for Fantastic Four
One of the most iconic superhero groups of Marvel comics, Fantastic Four is all set to make their return to the big screen, and for the first time, they’ll be doing so under the banner of the MCU. Ever since the reboot of the movie was announced back in 2019, there has been a long ongoing anticipation about who would be playing the roles of the characters of the group.
Now, after a long wait of almost 5 years, Marvel has finally decided to reveal the cast details and release date of Fantastic Four. They took to X(formerly Twitter) to reveal the same.
According to Marvel, Pedro Pascal will take up the mantle of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, and the leader of the group. He will be joined by, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will portray the role of Ben Grimm aka the Thing in the movie.
Fantastic Four is all set to release in theaters next year on July 25, 2025.
Pedro Pascal tried his best to not leak this news on multiple platforms
In a recent interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Pedro Pascal was asked to open up about the news of him portraying the role of Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. The Chilean actor was able to breeze through this question and ended up neither accepting nor denying the claims. He simply said,
“You said this was a 90-minute [interview]. Tell the truth, this is like past 90 minutes“
Earlier, it was also anticipated that John Krasinski might be reprising his role as Reed Richards in the Fantastic Four movie as he did portray the character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
However, it seems like that won’t be happening after all, as Pedro Pascal is all set to portray the role of Mr. Fantastic.
