Recently, during an interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Pedro Pascal was confronted about these rumors and asked if he was indeed joining the Fantastic Four reboot cast. However, even in a situation like that, Pascal didn’t stop being his sarcastic and witty self and ended up responding with an answer that might as well disappoint many fans.

Pedro Pascal has his own charm. Even while stuck in a situation that most wouldn’t be able to find a way out of without lying, he manages to use his wit to the utmost extent to give an answer that might be disappointing but still wouldn’t spill the beans on the truth. Just like he did recently when he was confronted about his MCU casting reports.

In a recent Pedro Pascal Career Retrospective episode from the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations by the SAG-AFTRA FoundationThe Last of Us star was asked to confirm the unofficially reported facts of whether he would be joining the cast of the Fantastic Four reboot film by Marvel Studios or not.

To this, he responded:

“You said this was a 90-minute [interview]. Tell the truth, this is like past 90 minutes.”

Just like that, Pascal managed to slip free from the question by pointing out another fact about the interview and simply diverting the situation in a different direction, neither accepting the reports nor denying it.
But even though his answer about the Fantastic Four casting was indeed disappointing to hear, there is one other aspect to this situation that fans can’t help but point out:

As the interviewer laughed and continued to ask him another question all the while adding his tie with all the fandoms, including “possibly the MCU”, Pascal, once again, did not bother to correct her or even deny it.

This has seemingly led fans to believe his slyly diverting the question and not denying it as an indirect ‘Yes’. Nonetheless, the official confirmation by Marvel remains, and fans will have to wait until, instead of diverting the questions, Pedro Pascal simply admits to the rumors.

While Pedro Pascal’s response to getting confronted about his MCU casting in Fantastic Four speaks volumes, at the same time, director Matt Shakman, who would reportedly be helming the film in talks, just may have seemingly confirmed Pascal’s casting.

Previously, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation website had mentioned that “Pascal recently wrapped production on Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Gladiator 2 and will soon begin production on Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four” in his career retrospective bio.

This report garnered massive, massive views and induced multiple news accounts on social media to deliver this news as a confirmed fact. While that caused the website to remove that specific part altogether, it was none other than Matt Shakman who added fuel to this fire.

Taking to his Instagram account @mattshakman, he reposted to his story a post that held the same news. After this, even as Shakman went on to delete his IG page, this action of his still had all hell break loose as all the rumors of Pedro Pascal’s casting were believed to be seemingly confirmed.

Now, the only ones remaining to officially confirm the Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards casting are none other than Pascal himself, along with the Marvel Studios. Other than that, fans are already expecting to see the Game of Thrones star in the Fantastic Four reboot!
