Deadpool 3 released its first teaser at the Super Bowl, and fans were presented with a brief look at what the film was going to be about and Deadpool’s arc throughout its narrative. Some die-hard fans also tried to deduce every detail in the trailer so that they knew the full scope of the film and the various secrets that the film had in store.
The teaser revealed that Deadpool and Wolverine would be going on an adventure across the MCU multiverse and change the franchise forever. Fans spotted many Easter eggs and details from past Marvel films and comics. However, most fans missed an impressive Stan Lee Easter Egg towards the end of the teaser.
Deadpool & Wolverine Teaser Contains a Deep Cut Stan Lee Easter Egg
Deadpool & Wolverine dropped its first teaser, and fans were in a frenzy over the return of Deadpool and the big multiversal narrative of the film. The Ryan Reynolds– Hugh Jackman starrer is the only MCU theatrical release of the year. Thus, fans dissected every detail of the teaser to find out additional details hidden in it.
Many managed to find out various details and Easter eggs, including Patch, Pyro from X2, and an Avengers: Secret Wars Comic at the end of the teaser. However, it seems there is a Stan Lee Easter Egg that most fans missed out on while watching the teaser, and it is essentially a deep-cut callback.
At the end of the teaser, where Deadpool lies on the ground, there is a Secret Wars comic on his left, which many fans noticed. On top of it, there is a soda bottle that looks quite familiar (via X). One might remember that in The Incredible Hulk, Stan Lee had a cameo where he ingested a soda drink that had Bruce Banner’s blood and potentially died.
The bottle in the teaser looks like the same bottle design and color from The Incredible Hulk. It is an interesting observation, and the film is sure to have many other such Easter eggs once the film is out. Reynolds and Jackman are sure to extensively promote and release more clips from the film as it nears its release date.
Emma Corrin Fulfilled Her Dream to Play a Villain with Deadpool 3
Emma Corrin is starring alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine. Corrin is expected to play the main antagonist of the film. They talked to Empire magazine about how they have always wanted to play a villain role and getting to do that in a franchise like the MCU.
Corrin revealed that Shawn Levy approached them and was incredibly secretive about the project. The actress had limited knowledge of the franchise and had to be debriefed about all the happenings of the MCU. They said,
“I feel really excited to play a villain. I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch. I’d heard about the project but, classic Marvel, they couldn’t tell me anything about it. Absolutely nothing. Zilch. So I met him being like, ‘I don’t know what this is about’.
“Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person. I’ve watched Spider-Man and Black Panther. I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mind-f–k. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.”
Corrin is expected to play Cassandra Nova in the multiversal film that promises to change the MCU. The film is set for a theatrical release on July 26, 2024. Fans can catch up on the first two Deadpool films on Disney+.
