Industry Insider Refutes Rumor: No Doctor Doom in Deadpool 3 Trailer
Some fans claim they saw Doctor Doom in the newly released Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. Near the end of the trailer, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is shown lying on the ground with Wolverine’s (Hugh Jackman) shadow coming towards him. That’s where a tattered comic book cover is seen next to Deadpool’s body.
It’s actually a comic from the 2015 Secret Wars crossover – likely the basis for the 2027 Avengers: Secret Wars movie. The piece of torn paper matches with the poster of Secret Wars #5 – which features Doctor Doom and Beyonder. It points to the potential feature of Doctor Doom in the film.
But an industry insider denies a rumor about the appearance of the Marvel villain in the Deadpool 3 trailer, saying, “People think Doom is in the trailer? What the f-ck is wrong with people?.” He’s clearly frustrated with the spread of false rumors.

Charles Murphy is a reliable source in the superhero genre, and it’s likely that he would have known if Doctor Doom was in the movie. Since he’s surprised by the speculation, it means that the supervillain probably isn’t in the threequel. While he didn’t explicitly say so, inferring from his reaction seems all valid.
Cillian Murphy is rumored to play Doctor Doom in MCU’s Fantastic Four. According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Marvel wants him for the role. But he hasn’t been officially cast yet.
Could Deadpool 3 Really Feature an Appearance of Doctor Doom?
A new Marvel villain, Doctor Doom, might show up in Phase 6 of the MCU. He’s one of the most requested characters since the start of Marvel Studios’ movies. Fans have been waiting for Dr. Victor Von Doom to appear in Marvel movies for a long time.
Now as, Deadpool 3 plans to feature numerous cameos, paying tribute to past Fox-Marvel movies except X-Men. Daredevil and Elektra are expected cameos, and even the original Fantastic Four characters might appear briefly. If they do, it raises the question: could Doctor Doom make an appearance too?
Julian McMahon’s Doctor Doom died in Fantastic Four 2, so it’s unlikely for him to cameo in Deadpool 3. However, since there are various versions of Fox-Marvel characters appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine, Victor Von Doom’s cameo can’t be ruled out entirely.
