Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame is one of the most iconic and memorable moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Being the product of over twenty films that build up fantastic stories full of beautiful characters, it is difficult to put into words just how anticipated this film was. It helped bring a conclusion to the arcs of three of the most beloved characters, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America, in a teary but satisfying way.
Another reason why this film was as important was that it helped tie into all that was introduced in the fourth and fifth phases of the franchise. Recently, Marvel announced something that might be just as significant as this film, only this would be for the comics. Blood Hunt, the recently announced event for 2024, may end up being just as significant as Avengers: Endgame, helping expand the comic book universe, with Vampires in the front and center of this event.

Is Dracula In Marvel’s Blood Hunt?
It cannot be understated how important and anticipated Marvel’s Blood Hunt is. With the central antagonists being vampires, it is understandable just how excited fans are about this. Though vampires have always been a part of the Marvel Universe, they have never had the spotlight on them as much as this event will put. This will feature major personalities like the Avengers, Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, Miles Morales, and more, who will try to navigate this threat.
“We have vampires in our books all the time, there’s some bad blood there,” said Jed MacKay. “Vampires have always walked amongst the shadows of the Marvel Universe, but in Spring 2024, the long night arrives and these bloodsucking terrors will endure the spotlight like never before,”
Jed MacKay, one of the people responsible for this comic, spoke out at the New York Comic Con, via Comic Book about whether the most well-known vampire, Dracula, had any hand in inspiring this event, and answered the question of whether he would be making an appearance in this. He started by saying that he really loves how this character was portrayed by Marvel comics, stating that it was a very bizarre and odd idea for the franchise at the time but, somehow, they managed to make it work.
“A bit. We always go back to something that I’m really in love with. Marvel has a Dracula, which I think is fantastic.” He went on, “it’s really delightful. And so we’ll definitely see what old Dracula was up to — how complicit he may or may not be in these events and what is in store for the vampire nation.”
He then added that this event will definitely feature this character in some way or the other. Elaborating on this, he stated that we will be seeing what this immortal has been doing ever since we last saw him, as well as finding out if he had something to do with the threat that they will be facing.

This Is Extremely Significant For Marvel’s Future
Jed MacKay then went on to talk about how important and significant Blood Moon will be for the future of the comic Marvel Universe. He stated that a lot of different characters are making an appearance from different parts of this franchise, much like Avengers: Endgame, they will be bringing their own stories, as well as leaving with new stories.
“The earth is in a lot of trouble, and we’re bringing in characters from my books. Moon Knight characters, [Doctor] Strange characters, the Avengers characters from the main series, and many more will be in the main event. There will be a bunch of tie-ins and one-shots. It’s going to be a big deal.”
He mentioned that this one event will single-handedly be responsible for a number of tie-in issues of comics, as well as one-shots that will be based on or a result of the story that unravels in this. He also mentioned that events that take place here will also affect the individual stories of the characters who will feature in this fight.
