Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks incredible in a new photo as he models for the luxury product Armani Beauty. As the new brand ambassador, the actor showed his ripped physique just reminiscent of his upcoming role in Sony’s Kraven The Hunter.
Many fans are having second thoughts about the movie’s fate as previous superhero installments under Sony such as Venom and Madame Web ended up getting slammed by critics. This time, Taylor-Johnson proves them wrong.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson Reveals Rigorous Preparation for Kraven the Hunter Role
In an interview with Esquire, Marvel actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson talked about how he prepared for his role as Sergei Kravinoff in Kraven the Hunter. The actor went under rigorous training that involved not only physical workouts but mental and emotional as well.
When he looked at his character’s comic book appearance, he thought, “Huh—the costume is my stomach and my arms.” He further added:
When you say stuff like ‘I’m the greatest hunter of all time,’ you’ve got to know deep within your being that it’s coming from a place of reality and depth, and feels like it’s possible and plausible.

This is why the actor trained heavily for months. According to the outlet, he is “around 170 or 180” pounds. “At his supervillain peak, he was 200 pounds,” the source added. In order to convince fans that he’s a real hunter, he learned the ways of the wild animals. “You just grab little things, and they rub off, in ways, and they come in handy,” he quipped.
Taylor-Johnson stalked a deer to comprehend “the emotional turmoil and the sense of guilt” that comes when one takes a life. He also studied the art of wildlife photographer Peter Beard. Furthermore, The Fall Guy star spent time with conservationist Damian Aspinall, whom he calls “a punk-anarchist, sort of Kraven-esque character.”
Kraven the Hunter Gets New Release Date Again
Kraven the Hunter’s release has been pushed back again, and producer Matt Tolmach explained the reason behind the strategic rescheduling. After the failure of Madam Web, the studio thought of putting the movie on the calendar where people are frequenting the theaters. He told Collider:
Kraven moved to Christmas because we’re excited about it, and Christmas is the best release period there is, when you get people with time to go back to the movies over and over again. That was a real reflection of how the studio felt about the movie. We’re really excited. But that’s a great move that reflects just the feeling about the movie.
Indeed, putting Kraven the Hunter up against films such as Mufasa: The Lion King and Nosferatu, both releasing in December this year, gives fans more options and adds more variety. Its original summer schedule would have it compete with The Crow, another highly anticipated R-rated movie.
This is not Taylor-Johnson’s first rodeo in superhero movies as fans would recognize him as Pietro Maximoff, aka Quicksilver, from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Kraven The Hunter arrives in theaters on December 13, 2024.
