The character is none other than Iron Fist, who has his own show, and most likely, the character is going to make its debut in Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi 2. However, there’s a twist, as Marvel has decided to gender-swap the character and introduce a Female Iron Fist in the sequel, and fans are enjoying the news.

Marvel Decides To Introduce A Female Iron Fist In Shang-Chi 2

Iron Fist first made its debut in 2017, when Marvel introduced a show based on the name of the character. Finn Jones portrayed the role of Danny Rand/ Iron Fist, and fans loved the portrayal of the character. And when rumor circulated of Finn Jones making his big screen debut in Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi 2, fans were ecstatic.

However, the fervor multiplied, when industry insider @CanWeGetToast stated via Toonado, who reported that this Female Iron Fist is altogether a new character, than what fans have seen in Marvel Comics. As per the report, the character is named Janora and will make her debut in the animated series, Eyes of Wakanda, where she will be working with a Wakandan warrior named Basha.

Nevertheless, in a new report it is reported that since the Defenders are cannon to the MCU, Iron Fist will make its debut in Sim Liu’s Shang-Chi 2. However, Marvel has the habit of adding new characters like we saw Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Fans Are Furious At Marvel Studios for Gender Swapping Their Favorite Characters

As the report of gender-swapping Iron Fist came into existence, a post started going viral on X, where fans wanted the character to make her debut in Shang-Chi 2. The post invited a positive response from the fans, as they wanted Janora instead of Danny Rand in the film.
