Moon Knight explores unfamiliar territory for many Marvel movie enthusiasts, and Jason Isaacs’ poignant characterizations contribute to making the unconventional premise and disjointed story breaks feel grounded. This Marvel series stands out as one of the better ones, primarily due to its distinctiveness. While set in the same universe as the Avengers, Moon Knight offers viewers the enjoyment of a stand-alone series.

Isaacs’s compelling performance alone is a noteworthy reason to recommend this unique addition to the Marvel universe. Seasons one ended on a cliffhanger, with the introduction of another one of Marc Spector’s personalities. However, Marvel has not made any announcements about an additional season or direction the series will be taking.
8. What If…?
The series comes off its second season and an announcement of a third season in development. What If…? explores anthological narratives outside the primary MCU is akin to playing in a sandbox—there’s an option not to invest emotionally, making it challenging to feel a significant connection. Some episodes of this show hit the mark when I was engaged, providing a good experience, but when disinterested, it seemed somewhat purposeless.
While a few episodes adhere closely to the standard MCU formula, the majority in this MCU anthology fully embrace the limitless creativity allowed by the show’s concept. This animated series presents a dynamic and thrilling plunge into the MCU, offering new, unique, and exciting perspectives. Enhanced by fantastic animation and an A-list cast lending their familiar voices, it stands out as one of the most opulent animated series ever assembled.
7. Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner returns as Clint Barton, the often overlooked Avenger, in a delightful Christmas adventure centered on friendship and family. The success of Hawkeye can be attributed to the compelling chemistry between Renner and Steinfeld and its emphasis on character development over excessive action. While Hawkeye may not stand out significantly in the broader MCU, it delivers moments of excitement and introduces new characters who hold promise for future standalone stories.
The series introduces Hailee Steinfield as Kate Bishop and Alaqua Cox as Echo who recently began a series of her own, and welcomes back Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin from the Netflix Daredevil series and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova from Black Widow. Bringing back these characters provides a full circle in the MCU between characters in both film and television series.
6. Spider-Man: Far From Home

This film is definitely a James Gunn film before it’s a Marvel movie.

It’s a must-watch for both Marvel enthusiasts and those looking for a fresh and innovative take on television storytelling.

Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki with unparalleled charisma, bringing depth and nuance to the character. The series picks up from an alternate timeline created during the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Loki escapes with the Tesseract, leading to a chain of events that unravel the fabric of time.
