The anticipation for Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, is at an all-time high. Over the past few weeks, there have been speculations that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool isn’t the only Deadpool that will appear in the movie but fans now have some solid information. It has been confirmed in new promotional art as it showcases different variants of Deadpool: Babypool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Headpool.
There is already a lot of excitement about Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine. The actor’s last performance as the iconic character was in 2017’s Logan. As of now, it is unclear over the casting of Kidpool but rumors suggest that actor Walker Scobell is perfect for the role. Given his perfect chemistry with Reynolds, there is a possibility of this happening.
Deadpool & Wolverine will feature Babypool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Headpool
A new promotional art for 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine has been released and it has left the fans wild as it confirmed that Deadpool’s variants: Babypool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Headpool will be in the movie. Dogpool’s appearance was expected but the confirmation about the rest of these variants has indeed shaken the fans.
Over the past week, there were leaks regarding Kidpool’s cameo in the movie and fans already chose the star they would like to see in this role: Walker Scobell. The 15-year-old actor worked with Ryan Reynolds in 2022’s The Adam Project so he wouldn’t have a hard time collaborating with Reynolds again.
Will Henry Cavill appear as Wolverine’s variant?
Earlier this month, popular scooper CanWeGetSomeToast on X made some interesting claims about actor Henry Cavill‘s cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. The insider claimed that Cavill is all set to play a Wolverine variant in the upcoming movie.
There are also rumors about Cavill joining the MCU as a different character: Captain Britain. In the past, Cavill has claimed that it would be “fun” to play the character. In 2021, Cavill told The Hollywood Reporter,
“I’m never going to say a Marvel character that is already being played by someone else because everyone’s doing such an amazing job – However, I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that – like the way they modernized Captain America. There’s something fun about that, and I do love being British.”
With Cavill’s time in the DCEU wrapped up, it would be certainly exciting to see his MCU debut. Deadpool & Wolverine, which will be the 34th film in the MCU, is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 26, 2024.
