What will gamers be getting in the Metal Gear Solid Remastered Collection Volume 1?

For those who know about Metal Gear Solid, they will know that there are numerous games created to spread across the timeline of the MGS; this is due to Hideo Kojima’s Brechtian style of storytelling and because other developers at Konami also created a lot of different spin-off games and even made prequel games that were titled in an unusual order. This raises the question of exactly what games people will be getting in the first volume of the Metal Gear Solid Remastered Collection.

Currently, the main games that are being released with the the Metal Gear Solid Remastered Collection Vol.1 are; Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. There will also be numerous bonus content that is being added to this collection, like graphic novels, Original NES spin-offs and even a digital soundtrack, all for players to enjoy. At the moment, these are all of the remastered games that have been announced for the the Metal Gear Solid Remastered Collection Vol.1, and now that there has been a release date, it will unlikely change.

What does this mean for the games that are not included in this collection?

As of now, there is currently a lot of speculation as to what will be happening with the more recent releases in the MGS franchise; a lot of gamers believe that since this is Volume 1 of the the Metal Gear Solid Remastered Collection, they believe that there may be in the future be another batch of games to be released with a remaster.

One fan of MGS even went as far as to create a theory based on the MGS timeline website and tweeted about their discovery; the fan in question is called Nitroid, and they discovered that on the new MGS website, there is a webpage with a timeline of where in time the games are set, some of which include a button to press that takes you to a page with information about that game and advertising that it is part of the MGS collection Vol.1 because of this it created a lot of theories that the games that do not have buttons will one day be included in the MGS Collection Vol.2, but for now it is still a theory.
