This new entry in the weird and wacky Xbox consoles and controllers was revealed on Xbox Wire. It comes with a special Xbox Series X custom console inspired by Wonka artwork, featuring a chocolate-themed veneer and wafer bar-like grill on the top with a Wonka film logo. This comes in a unique console display that looks like Willy Wonka’s chocolate store, and as sweet and delicious as the console may seem, it is not edible.

However, the winner will also get edible bits with the edible Xbox controller, which is entirely made of pure chocolate and wrapped in a gold wrapper, a Wonka-themed Xbox wireless controller, and a box of chocolates.

Additionally, the winner will also receive a custom console stand to make the design look like a storefront, a standard black Xbox wireless controller, and a three-month Xbox Game Pass subscription. Microsoft introduced the “(X)box of Chocolates,” stating:

A beautiful box of surprises celebrating the new “Wonka” film containing the first-ever official edible Xbox Controller made of 100% pure chocolate and wrapped in the signature gold wrapper; a custom-designed, burgundy-colored Xbox Wireless Controller inspired by Wonka’s coat from the film; and five additional chocolate truffles uniquely crafted to complement your Xbox gaming adventures.

Xbox fans can now enter the special sweepstakes by following Xbox on X/Twitter and retweeting the Xbox sweepstakes tweet to get their hands on the edible Xbox controller and other limited-edition Wonka-inspired goodies. Fans must make sure to include the sweepstakes hashtag #XboxWonkaSweepstakes with the retweet.

Wonka is set to release on December 15 in the US, and Microsoft is taking the celebration a step further with an in-store experience at Microsoft Experience Centres in New York, London, and Sydney, with stores front windows featuring a Wonka-inspired display and puzzle box. Players can try to solve the puzzles for a chance to get their hands on custom Xbox goodies.

This isn’t the first time that Microsoft has created custom and unusual consoles and controllers, and although it hasn’t revealed an edible Xbox controller, there have been several similar ones. Microsoft created a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed competition with a pizza-scented Xbox controller for grabs just in time for the Mutant Mayhem movie.

Last summer, Microsoft revealed the Xbox Series S based on the Barbie film. Microsoft had also released an Xbox controller made of jade to celebrate the release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on the console.

The company also created fluffy Sonic-themed controllers in collaboration with Paramount Pictures, inspired by the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film. A special Earth Day controller was also released, made from recycled CDs, water jugs, and other used parts of Xbox controllers.
