As Season 2 of Call of Duty advances, it is time for a new update. The Season 2 Reloaded release date will likely be March 6, bringing new guns, game modes, and more. We recently reported that the game has promised a colossal amount of content will be coming this season. Players were unhappy that the Zombies storyline was sidelined during the launch.
New map variants, Airborne and Skidgrow, are included for a limited time and will also feature 6v6 mode. Both maps are designed to appear like abandoned places where something of an alien origin has taken over the former. Meanwhile, nature has taken over on the latter map. In addition to that, a couple of weapons are being added to the armory too.
Time to Go Full Juggernaut in Call of Duty, as the Season 2 Reloaded Release Date Gets Closer
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 also added a third-person perspective (TPP) to the game. One of the two game modes arriving in Season 2 Reloaded, dubbed Juggermosh, will use the feature. It will be a full-on juggernaut of combat where players can compete under Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint. Another mode called Bounty will require players to reach the score limit to win the game.
Meanwhile, the mid-season moshpit will feature otherworldly map variants in the playlist Vortex: Decay’s realm. A mosh pit in CoD is a random collection of game modes that have been featured in games like Black Ops, Advanced Warfare, Infinite Warfare, and more. In Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 last year, the moshpit featured the Valderas Museum and Dome alongside a combination of game modes.
The Dark Aether story will continue in Season 2 Reloaded. The story, first introduced in Black Ops 3, has become a fan-favorite segment in the game. This time, Sergei Ravenov will be there, guiding the players to show them a way out of the Dark Aether. The character was first featured in Black Ops: Cold War as one of the major protagonists of the game.
That Could Be All for Zombies
With Zombies finally arriving this season, players must be excited about it. However, their happiness could be short-lived, as this might be the last time they will experience an army of brain-dead soldiers in MW3.
A CoD content creator recently wrote on a social media account that “there are NO plans for any new enemy types or new perks to come to MWZ at any point,” as developer Treyarch has reportedly decided not to advance with Zombies content.
Modern Warfare 3 crushed it in terms of playing hours and even sales. But of course, it is Call of Duty, and players always expect good from the developers. Activision, the publisher of the game, even claimed that MW3‘s one-day shipments were the largest for a single video game in gaming history.
However, the audience summary for the game is a disaster. The upcoming title is likely to be a Black Ops installment, reportedly titled Gulf War. Its previous installment was well received by critics; hopefully, the upcoming game will do the same.
