The game already has iconic fighters and will also bring Kameo fighters. However, that’s not all as the voice actor for Reptile in Mortal Kombat 1 may have just revealed a popular sci-fi villain, T-1000 from Terminator 2 making his debut in the game as part of the Kombat Pack 1 DLC.

Reptile voice actor Andrew Morgado recently spoke to Dan Allen Gaming and accidentally revealed that Robert Patrick was present for T-1000 at Warner Brothers’ green room. Before this big reveal, Morgado mentioned that he also saw Ronda Rousey in the green room who played Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11, and further mentioned the Robocop actor Peter Weller in MK11 DLC.

For those unaware, Robert Patrick played the character of T-1000 Terminator, the shapeshifting assassin android who was the main antagonist in the 1991 sci-fi classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day, leaving fans to speculate if Morgado just leaked a new DLC character for Mortal Kombat 1 and whether they will see T-1000 in the game soon.

Andrew Morgado also played the role of Kollector in Mortal Kombat 11 so it’s also possible that this tale is from the last game as he also talked about T-800 Terminator who was in Mortal Kombat 11. However, he directly name-dropped Robert Patrick and acknowledged T-800’s guest appearance separately rather than T-800 Terminator actor, Chris Cox who took on the role for Arnold Schwarzenegger so it’s unlikely that he misspoke but it’s just speculation as of now.

Although even if it is believed for a moment that Morgado was referring to his time during the last game, the recently datamined dialogue lines for guest fighter Peacemaker who is already confirmed to be in the Kombat Pack 1 debunks this theory. The voice lines show Peacemaker telling an unnamed character that he looks just like his dad and in the live-action TV series Peacemaker, Robert Patrick plays Peacemaker’s father so it could be a reference to that.

NetherRealm has not yet announced any DLC characters other than Kombat Pack 1, with the first fighter being Omni-Man.

Now these comments from Andrew Morgado suggest that T-1000 might grace Mortal Kombat 1 in the future but nothing has been confirmed by NetherRealm so far. Kombat Pack 1 will be bringing several guest fighters in Mortal Kombat 1 such as Peacemaker, Homelander, and others till mid-2024 starting with Omni-man in November this year and since T-1000 is not in that line-up, he could only arrive in Kombat Pack 2 or later.

The release date for Omni-Man has also been confirmed via Xbox Store listing so players can only look forward to the sinister villain for now. Kombat Pack 1 guest fighters roles are played by the original actors as John Cena is playing Peacemaker, and J.K. Simmons has reprised his role as Invincible‘s Omni-Man, but it is not yet confirmed if The Boys star Antony Starr will be back for Homelander.

There are also several rumors that Mortal Kombat 1 could also bring Harley Quinn, Ghostface, Cassie Cage, Kung Jin, and robot Cyrax as guest fighters. Mortal Kombat has had a tradition of bringing diverse guest fighters in DLC packs since Mortal Kombat 9.

The last few Mortal Kombat games have seen iconic names from the movies and comics and players have loved them going against Mortal Kombat legends such as Liu Kang and Scorpion. With that said it’d be exciting to see T-1000 and how he is integrated into the game and its setting.
