MultiVersus will feature characters from all walks of DC life. Many of them were revealed during the trailer released today, while several still remain the subject of extensive debate. The Warner Bros. Universe has a barrage of fan favorites, and this game is currently the most suitable platform if the company is in the mood for any unlikely collaboration.
The game was initially released in July 2022 and was highly praised by critics. It became a fan-favorite video game on the Steam Deck too. The game has also been moved to Unreal Engine 5, which solidifies the fact that it will be a visual treat.
Agent Smith Won’t Need Guidance from the Joker
With the release of the latest MultiVersus trailer, Agent Smith from the Matrix series seems to have found a perfect home. The trailer ends with Mark Hamill’s Joker sitting on The Iron Throne, confronting other characters who will be making an appearance in the game. However, the twist comes when Agent Smith and Jason Voorhees appear out of thin air.
The latter was part of the debate following the character reveal of Banana Guard from Adventure Time. Sadly, many characters that users speculated never made it to the game, at least for now. The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10, Ted Lasso, and more, to name a few, were expected to make an appearance.
Some users on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) are asking where Neo is if Agent Smith is coming in MultiVersus. Hopefully, fans will see him in one of the seasons as the game advances.

We don’t know what skills this Agent Smith will possess, but we sure would love to see him copying other characters as they try to dominate.
This Other MultiVersus Mode Will Spice Things Up for Players
Besides the traditional PvP experience, which is likely to dominate other modes, there will be a PvE Rifts mode in the game. In another video, developers revealed what kind of experience players will get in there. Interestingly, the video was taken over by the intelligent Velma Dinkley from the Scooby-Doo franchise.
She begins the explanation, keeping the overview simple while also keeping others annoyingly taking over the video at bay.
It ends with a song by Finn and Jake, which wasn’t exactly music to the ears. In essence, it will be the game’s campaign that users can play to earn rewards.
The beta run was already a success, and with the relaunch coming in alongside improved gameplay and graphics, it’s unlikely that the game will go down a different path. We just have to wait and watch.
