The Straw Hat Pirates have been traveling together in the world of One Piece for a long time. They have developed a bond that is stronger than ever, and every member of the crew cares for each other. Although they have only filmed one season of the One Piece live-action series, the “real-life” Straw Hats have also bonded well and this bond is not only reflected in their work and performances as the characters, but also in real life. There have been many instances where the actors are seen having a good time together.

Among the crew, the best chemistry is seen between Rudd and Godoy, and a recent video of them having fun proves that the live-action Nami and Luffy were born to be Straw Hat Pirates and their relationship is quite similar to that of the Nami and Luffy from the One Piece anime and manga.

Emily Rudd and Iñaki Godoy’s Chemistry in Real Life

Iñaki Godoy, the actor who plays the role of Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece live-action has proved himself worthy of the role not only by portraying the character brilliantly but also by sharing many similarities with his character. Godoy is just as playful and fun-loving as Luffy, which is evident from this video.

@thewillofd798, a few months ago, shared an old video that Emily Rudd posted on her Instagram account where both actors were seen having a fun time on the sets of One Piece. In the video, Godoy is seen teaching Rudd’s makeup artist how to apply and use makeup on Rudd’s face, and both actors are enjoying the moment.

While this is something that Nami from the anime or manga would never let Luffy do, it somehow describes their playful relationship, which the actors share in real life too. Thus, both actors were indeed the perfect choice for their roles, and just like the first season, they are ready to dominate the world of live-action with the next season.
