The live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece last year was the only thing everyone was talking about when it came out last year. The adaptation was finally able to showcase what it should truly be like when a fan-favorite anime or a manga series gets adapted into a live movie or series.

However, it seems like there are some people more talented than even Netflix’s own hired editors, and one of them is Jalex Rosa. Rosa is a content creator known for creating cosplays and live-action anime scenes that break all the limits and have gone viral on the internet for his latest Luffy Gear 5 adaptation.

YouTuber Recreates One Piece Luffy Gear 5 In Live-Action Adaptation

As mentioned before, Jalex Rosa is a renowned content creator known for breaking every single limitation when it comes to curating special visual effects that bring anime characters to life. His latest work, which is making its rounds on Social Media platforms is themed on the fight between Kaido and Luffy in his Gear 5 form.

To put it briefly, Rosa’s effort in bringing the character to life is nothing but extraordinary. Many would have considered the physics of the character’s powers granted by the Hiro Hiro no Mi: Model Nika devil fruit would be impossible to replicate in a real-life setting, but he was able to do so, even failing the editors of the real One Piece Live-Action series.

The creator went into great detail explaining the process that went into producing such a great piece of content. This is a trademark of Jalex Rosa, as not only does he create great pieces of live-action content bringing fan-favorite characters into reality, but also goes to the lengths of breaking down the process thoroughly for the watchers to understand.

Those who have watched the video would know how it is Rosa himself who makes a 3d model of his body in order to become Luffy. It might look as simple as adding a few effects on top of pre-recorded move sets, however, that is not the case.

Jalex Rosa also revealed how the steps included gathering a group of 20 drummers, jumping on a trampoline, and even contacting Jason Momoa. These were the different tasks required to create a perfect imitation of what the character essentially needs to feel like when it is eventually Netflix’s turn to do so. Or the studio can just resort to hiring him instead, as suggested by fans in his video.

While Inaki Godoy is definitely one of the best actors who could portray our hero in the Live-Action adaptations, there remains no doubt that fans now want Rosa to make another appearance as the character, with many now awaiting his next video to be uploaded.

One Piece Live-Action adaptation is available to stream on Netflix.
