Blizzard has revealed the 1.2.1 patch update for Diablo 4 that is coming on October 31 and will be bringing two fan-requested quality-of-life features with a long list of other bug fixes and several improvements to keep the players’ gaming experience smooth.
Fans have long asked for training dummies and an easier way to reset Paragon Boards and are now getting both. However, what stands out the most from the patch is the Respecs as they are about to get much easier with the upcoming update.
Upcoming Diablo 4 Patch Makes Respecs Much Easier

Paragon Board in Diablo 4 is the endgame leveling mechanic after players reach level 50. After the players get to level 50, all their XP gains from level 1 to 49 go to the Paragon Board. Players can access this by opening the character page, then to the Abilities panel, and switching to the Paragon tab.
Players who reach the endgame in Diablo 4 have found that these are much more important in the late-stage build crafting for players to defeat the powerful bosses and dungeons. However, there have been many issues in the Paragon Board system such as resetting the perks on the board requires a lot of time and resources and players have been annoyed by this slowing down their experience.

Blizzard has finally released the patch notes ahead of the update and fixed this issue. This was the first thing that it announced in the patch notes. Blizzard stated: “Added a Refund All button to Paragon Boards.” It clarified this in a special developers note saying:
Players communicated that reworking all or most of their Paragon Points was a common occurrence. We’ve added this button to make it easier to do big respecs, along with the increases to Gold income from Whispers in Season of Blood.
The ‘Refund All’ button will make it easier for players to do Respecs and it will refund all Paragon points and more gold. The improvement to this common issue in Paragon Board becomes more important since the latest meta changes to the meta might ask players to augment their builds.
The 1.2.1 patch update will also bring the training dummy feature. This will allow data-driven players to test their new builds and item interactions. Players can find the dummy in a cellar beneath the city of Kyovashad and will also be able to access their stash. Players can also choose if they want to practice on a single dummy or a group of them and their strength can also be adjusted according to players’ wishes as normal, elite, or boss-level enemies.
The upcoming update will make several changes with most being bug fixes, and some related to Season of Blood mechanics such as Blood Wells. The Blood Wells will now drop more piles of blood and slightly increase the total average amount. Previously it dropped 1 pile of 45-60 potent blood and will now give out 8 piles of 5-9 potent blood each drop.

Blizzard has also added additional information tooltips for Vampiric Power tooltips to give a clear idea as to what the next Rank will increase. Other than that, additional information to the Vampiric Powers upgrade screen has also been added to let know the requirements of amount of Pacts as well as the power’s activation cost. Another notable change is the reduced search area for Tree of Whispers bounties that require players to find and kill a specific monster.
The recently launched Diablo 4‘s Season 2, Season of Blood features a new Vampire-themed narrative and gives players vampiric abilities as they go head-to-head against an evil vampire lord. The response has been better so far than Season 1 which was a total disaster and soon Blizzard will reveal what’s next for Diablo 4 during the BlizzCon that will be held on November 3 and 4.
