For the first time in the history of entertainment, Hollywood has been as brutally divided as it is now because of the currently raging devastating conflict that is Israel declaring a literal genocide against Palestine. And this conflict is putting a lot more in danger than just the population of Gaza, including multiple master franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the film industry as well.
Amid this ongoing world conflict, fans are now demanding a boycott of one upcoming movie from Marvel, and this isn’t Florence Pugh’s 2025 scheduled action-adventure film, Thunderbolts. Instead, the film in talks here is none other than the very movie that would mark the end of Phase Five of MCU’s Multiverse Saga, i.e. the next year scheduled Captain America: Brave New World.
The Reason Behind Marvel Fans Calling for the Boycott of Captain America 4
The Israel-Palestine conflict has undoubtedly been one of the most grueling crises in the history of humanity, with more than just a few thousand people losing their lives on the way. And as Israel continues to prolong its decision to accept a potential ceasefire, the people of Gaza continue to lose their lives in uncountable multitudes.
However, fans have let the world know that the innocent Gazans, who are currently under the attacks of the constant bombardments by Israel, wouldn’t be the only people who suffer from this conflict by demanding a boycott of all the people who are supporting this literal war; who have notably earned the title of being “Zionists.”
Among all the Hollywood celebrities who have become the center of this boycott, Israel-born actress Shira Haas is yet another name. However, fans have taken boycotting her to another level as they demand the boycott of Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Brave New World since Haas will reportedly star as Sabra in the movie (as per Screen Geek).
For those who don’t know, Sabra is actually a superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who works for and with the Israeli Secret Service known as the ‘Mossad’. Adding fuel to this already controversial fact that the MCU is introducing such a superhero at a time like this is the fact that many of the character’s outfits notably sport the colors of the Israeli flag as well.
Thus, in an attempt to stop this ongoing war between Israel and Palestine, fans are calling for a boycott of Captain America 4, since supporting the upcoming Marvel movie will inevitably hint at supporting the genocide as the movie sports more than just an Israeli superhero in it.
Fans Declare War Against Captain America 4 if Shira Haas Continues to Star in it
While fans were expecting the Marvel Cinematic Universe to keep out of this controversy if it intends to continue thriving in the industry and keep its position as one of the biggest franchises of all time, this introduction of an Israeli superhero starring the Israel-born actress Shira Haas in its upcoming movie at a critical time like this has enraged fans to the core.
Then there is insider Charles Murphy, who further crushed fans’ only hope of giving Captain America: Brave New World a chance by revealing through his X handle @_CharlesMurphy that Haas has not been removed from the movie as opposed to the expectations of fans, thus inviting a whole new wave of backlash and boycott against the MCU.

So now, taking to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Marvel fans are going all in to declare war against the upcoming Captain America 4 unless the MCU decides to save itself from fans’ wrath and decides to remove the character and the actress once and for all. Considering the level and intensity of this backlash and boycott that fans have called upon Captain America: Brave New World, if Marvel still doesn’t choose to remove Shira Haas from the 2025 scheduled movie, Florence Pugh‘s upcoming Thunderbolts just might end up being much more successful than Captain America 4.
