Developer Bethesda is renowned for creating gigantic, open-world games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 and Starfield is the latest in that storied line-up. If true, all of this is exciting news for those looking forward to enjoying Starfield. Bethesda is notorious for having several bugs and glitches in its sprawling open-world RPG games. This is not only at launch but for years and years afterward, ranging from minor yet hilarious to game-breaking. So it’s great that Starfield doesn’t fall victim to that tendency, and fans can look forward to enjoying a mostly smooth experience when the game releases.
What do we know about Starfield?
As we’re very close to the release date of September 6th, we know a lot, from gameplay videos and developer interviews. For starters, Bethesda describes Starfield as their biggest and most ambitious game yet, which is saying something given their track record. Set in the year 2330, humans are now a spacefaring species and have been exploring the Milky Way galaxy.

Returning from previous Bethesda games are all the features we’ve come to expect from them over the years. Namely, these are a deep character creation system, massive open worlds to explore, hidden areas, unique experiences and of course player freedom and choice. All of these, and more, promise to be bigger and better than ever before. New features include modifying your spaceship with parts and assigning recruitable companions for bonuses exclusive to them, to name a few.
